Recently, our S.5 Economics students visited the Census and Statistics Department through the Business-School Partnership Programme. During the visit, they gained a deeper understanding of the job nature of a statistician and the data collection methods for various economic indicators, such as import and export values, GDP, unemployment rate, and so on. More importantly, they learned more about the recent developments in the Chinese economy.
