From May 1 to 5, 2025, our Secondary 4 and 5 Economics and BAFS students embarked on an insightful study tour to Singapore, organized by the Economics and BAFS Departments. This immersive journey allowed students to explore Singapore’s remarkable economic growth, urban planning, and multicultural business environment.
The itinerary included visits to key landmarks such as:
National University of Singapore (NUS) – A glimpse into higher education and innovation.
HDB Hub & Pinnacle @ Duxton – Understanding Singapore’s public housing model.
Cultural districts (Kampong Glam, Little India, Chinatown) – Experiencing Singapore’s multicultural society.
Lau Pa Sat & Newton Food Centre – Exploring local business and food culture.
Raffles’ Landing Site, Merlion Park, Esplanade, and Clarke Quay – Learning about Singapore’s historical and modern economic development.
Marina Barrage & Sustainability Gallery – Studying Singapore’s water management and green initiatives.
Jewel Changi Airport – Witnessing world-class infrastructure and retail innovation.
Through this tour, students gained firsthand insights into Singapore’s economic policies, urban sustainability, and diverse business culture. The experience enhanced their global awareness, critical thinking, and appreciation for multicultural economies, bridging economics and business knowledge with real-world applications.
After the tour, the students also share their fruitful and valuable experience and reflection to the schoolmates through the morning assembly.
