28 May, 2025

From March 8 to 11, 2025, our Secondary 4 and 5 Economics and BAFS students embarked on an enriching study trip to Shanghai, delving into the city’s remarkable economic growth and urban planning strategies.

The itinerary featured visits to key landmarks, including the Shanghai Auto Museum, where students explored advancements in automotive innovation; the China Art Museum, home to the renowned Along the River During the Qingming Festival painting; and the iconic Bund, showcasing Shanghai’s historical and modern financial significance. Additionally, students experienced traditional culture at Zhujiajiao Water Town and Yu Garden, while the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall offered a glimpse into the city’s sustainable development strategies. A highlight was the company visit to Bright Dairy, where students learned about corporate operations in the food industry, followed by an academic exchange at Tongji University.

Through this trip, students gained a deeper understanding of Shanghai’s economic transformation, urban development challenges, and the balance between modernization and cultural preservation. This experience enhanced studentsʼ sense of national identity, their global perspectives and reinforced classroom knowledge with real-world applications.

After the tour, the students also share their fruitful and valuable experience and reflection to the schoolmates through the morning assembly.
